Alfred Wiltz III, born on July , 1963, in Eunice, Louisiana, passed away on December 29, 2023. He was a dedicated jack of all trades who found joy in helping others by fixing things for them. Alfred's life was characterized by his love for his family, his passion for gardening, his deep connection with the Bible, and his enthusiasm for Star Trek and classic movies.
Alfred had a remarkable talent for gardening and possessed a green thumb that could make anything grow. His dedication to nurturing plants was a testament to his patience and commitment. Not only did he cultivate beautiful gardens, but he also took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge and tips with others who shared his passion.
A reader of the Bible, Alfred found solace in its pages. Among his favorites was the book of Psalms, which offered him comfort and inspiration throughout his life. When it came to entertainment, Alfred was a tremendous Star Trek fan. Additionally, cherished watching classic shows like The Three Stooges, The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Rockford Files. Alfred had an affinity for old movies that transported him back to different eras and fueled his imagination.
Alfred will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish their memories together. He is survived by his parents, Alfred Jr., and Nancy Wiltz; his son, Jordan Wiltz; his daughter, Leda Wiltz; his brothers, Chad Wiltz and his wife, Tess and Todd Wiltz and his wife, Sonja; his sister, Cynthia Wiltz Gulino; his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Wiltz "Godchild", Brittany Thompson and her husband, Alex, Aaron Wiltz, Tylhor Wiltz, Nayla Wiltz "Godchild", Michelle Gulino, and Christina Gulino; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Braylon Thompson, Brylee Thompson, Branson Thompson, Bria Thompson, McKenzie Wiltz, Easton Wiltz, and one more great-niece on the way, Arielle Wiltz; and numerous other dear family members.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Zelma Wiltz; and his grandparents, Alfred, Sr. and Lovina Guidry Wiltz and Bill and Ledabel Clark Durham.
A Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 4th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:00 PM. Alfred will be laid to rest in the First Pentecostal Cemetery of Melville.
Pallbearers will be Chad Wiltz, Todd Wiltz, Tylhor Wiltz, Alex Thompson, Chief Deon Boudreaux and Allen Wiltz, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Wiltz, Senior Airman Ethan Boudreaux, Braylon Thompson, Lee Durham, Mike Durham, James "Jimbo" Soileau and Alex Wiltz.
Alfred Wiltz III's life was one filled with love and compassion. His memory will live on through the cherished moments shared with family and friends. As we say our final goodbyes to this extraordinary individual, let us remember him for his kindness, his willingness to help others in need, and the joy he brought into our lives. May his soul find eternal peace and may we find solace in our precious memories of him.
