Krotz Springs- Graveside services for Albert Joseph Lasseigne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs, LA.  Deacon Bill Pollingue will conduct the service.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.  Closing prayers will be held at 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Danny Lasseigne, Keith Lasseigne, Alex Lasseigne, Michael Lasseigne, Charles Lasseigne and Timmy Andre’.

Albert Joseph Lasseigne aka (A.J. or Flying Frenchman) was called to heaven by our Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2022.  He died peacefully at his home in Krotz Springs, LA after battling cancer for several years at the age of 78 years old.

A.J. was a truck driver for over 50 years.  He loved fishing, hunting and CB radios.  He never met a vehicle bumper that he was not afraid to drill through to mount a steel whip CB antenna.

As he requested a graveside service will be held and he will be laid to rest next to his wife.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer society in his name would be appreciated.

A.J. is survived by his sons, Keith Lasseigne of Illinois; Daniel and wife, Jennifer of Rosedale; and Michael Lasseigne of New Roads; his grandchildren, Benjamin Lasseigne, Zachary Lasseigne, Ryeker Lasseigne, Haleigh Lasseigne, Alex Lasseigne, Chase Lasseigne, and Avery Lasseigne; and his great grandchildren, Nova Lasseigne, Rowan Lasseigne, Haleigh Lasseigne and Brooks Michael.  A.J. was the oldest of 7 children and is survived by Carol Montero of Watson; Myra Blakely of Calhoun; Linda Lasseigne of Walker; and Judy Girlinghouse of Port Allen; and his brothers, Jimmy Lasseigne of Central; and Charles Lasseigne of Greenwell Springs.  By his side his last few weeks was his best friend, Timmy.  God sends us angels in many different forms.

A.J. is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Lasseigne; his mother, Vernita Dupre Lasseigne; his father, Nolan A. Lasseigne; and his daughter-in-law of 32 years, Felicia Lasseigne.
