Mr. Harris, age 76, a resident of Bristol, LA, was born December 30, 1936 in Piedmont, SC and died Sunday August 18, 2013 at the St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas, LA. He was a retired teacher.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Harris of Bristol, son, Paul Harris of Liberty, MS, daughters Jenny Blair of Zachary and Judy Williams of Baton Rouge, six grandchildren Abbey Williams, Jacob Williams, Elizabeth Benzer, Rebecca Blair, Justen Harris, Morgen Harris and one great grandson Lane Duplechain.

Preceding him in death was his mother Irene Duke Harris.
