Krotz Springs - Visiting and Funeral Services for Aileen S. Lacassin will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Krotz Springs on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Chad Bolfa will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Aileen S. Lacassin, age 78 and a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at her residence.

Aileen worked for many years at T G & Y. She opened Dells Kiddy Care Daycare in Baton Rouge until she retired. She and her husband, John, then moved to Krotz Springs where she enjoyed working in her flower beds and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and always welcomed family and friends over for a meal. Aileen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Barber and Pamela Barber Templet; her step-sons, Richard Lacassin and John Lacassin, Jr.; her sister, Hilda Sharp; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a granddaughter expected to Aileen's birthday.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Lacassin; her step-son, Dewey Lacassin; her parents, Francine and Hardy E. Sharp; her brother, Edgar H. Sharp; and her sister, Mary Louise "Dolly" Stringer.

Pallbearers will be James Lambert, Jeremy Lambert, Bruce Sharp, "Buck" Sharp, "Mickey" Anthony, Bob Doyle and honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Reid.
