Adam Carriere, Jr.

Leonville- Funeral services for Mr. Adam Carriere, Jr., 92, will be held at 2:00p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, followed by interment in the church mausoleum.

Mr. Carriere died surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at his residence.

Survivors include his son, Jimmie Carriere, Sr. and his wife Leah of Opelousas; daughters, Francelyn Carriere Kennison and husband Dick of Sulphur, Annette Carriere Yander and husband Sam of Melville; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leon Daly Jean Fisher Carriere of Port Barre; sisters, Tina Carriere Wyble and Rose Carriere Robin both of Port Barre.

Mr. Carriere was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Stelly Carriere, parents, Adam Carriere, Sr. and Marie Darbonne Carriere and a son, Leon Daly Carriere, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Jim Carriere, Jr., Baly Carriere, Jacob and Donnie Firmin, and Joe and Jarrod Kennison. Honorary pallbearers will be Danniel Carriere and Carter Bacque.

Visiting will be held at LaFond Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, October 15, 2007 from 3:00-10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 7:00a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary service will be held at 7:30pm on Monday.
