Funeral services for Adalynn “Addy” Louise Good will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA.  Rev. Wallace Kraemer (pastor from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church) will officiate the funeral services.  Graveside services and burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice, LA. 

The family requests visiting hours be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. On Saturday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adalynn Louise Good known to many as “Addy” on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in an automobile accident in Lawtell, LA. 

She was a native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of Eunice.  She was a 3^rd grade student at Glendale Elementary School in Eunice, LA.  Her bright smile radiated as she walked into the room, her laughter was contagious, her bubbly personality was animated while her actions were captively entertaining.  She enjoyed fishing and drawing as a pastime.  She loved her huge family and cherished spending time with everyone. She touched our hearts and lives in an incredibly special way. Her warm loving heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  Please remember Addy’s love every time you see a butterfly futtering and a rainbow in the sky.

Those left to cherish Addy’s memory are her mother, Jessica Renee’ Good and stepfather, JaVaun Etienne of Eunice, LA; her father, James Stanley Tyler, Sr. of Eunice; her biological father, Warren J. Lazard, Jr. and Nicole of Opelousas; her brothers: Austin Vidrine of Eunice; Eric A. Tyler and Thelma of Opelousas; James S. Tyler and Kandus of Opelousas; Reheem Hicks of Lake Charles; Jaylon Jenkins of Opelousas; and Jayden Lazard of Opelousas; sisters: Kirsten A. Tyler of Opelousas; Amber Popillion of  Baton Rouge; Jordan Lafontaine of Perland, TX; Gabrielle Lazard of Opelousas; and Stacy Rideaux of Opelousas; grandparents: Wendy Porche of Port  Barre; Dean E. Good, Sr. and Roni of Frank Fort, OH; and Lester Porche and Christine of Krotz Springs; great-grandparents: Wanda Sheets of Port Barre; Robert E. Sheets and Carolyn of Ohio; Jean Brust of Ohio; and Bonnie Good of Ohio; uncles: Dean “E.” Good Jr. and Nathalie of Krotz Springs; and Dillon “D” Porche and Hannah of Krotz Springs; aunts: Jani Porche and Reginald Hertzog of Krotz Springs; Ashley Good and Bryan Hall of Ridge Manor, FL; Sierra C. Whidden and Clayton of Lake Wales, FL; Stacie Lazard of Lafayette; Tracy Lazard of Lafayette; Shawanna Lavergne  and Reginald of Plaisance; great-aunts: Amy Matias of Port Barre; and Tina Gates and Gary of Krotz Springs; great-uncles: Robert “Bob” Sheets and Jan of Oklahoma; Arthur Good and Lillian of Ohio; Johnny Good and Mandy of Ohio.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Warren Lazard, Sr. and Betty Scott Lazard; uncle, Dustin Sheets; step grandfather, Eric Stevens; maternal great-grandfathers: Arthur Good and Roger Sheets.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Dean Good, Jr., Dillon Porche, Austin Vidrine, Justin Good, JaVaun Etienne, and James S. Tyler, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Lazard, Jr. and Scotty Jolievette.
