Krotz Springs – Funeral services for Larry John Snyder, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Krotz Springs United Methodist Church. ­­Reverend Laurie Raborn will conduct the service.  Burial will follow at the First United Methodist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs. Visitation will resume on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the funeral home beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

On the morning of August 10, 2022, Larry John Snyder, Sr. passed at the age of 70, surrounded by his family. Larry was the son of Clarence and Leah Snyder of Krotz Springs.

Larry worked in construction through the Carpenters Local 1098 and was also a commercial fisherman. His favorite time was being at the camp with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Larry John Snyder, Jr., Nick Snyder, Cody Snyder and his partner, Chasidy Tidwell, Justin Snyder and his partner, Devani Salinas and Lacey Reeves; his oldest grandchild, Chelsea Snyder, Kyndall West and 7 other grandchildren; his brother, Warren Snyder and wife, Kolleen and Alan Snyder and wife, Belinda; his loving sister, Susie Snyder and her partner, Glen Gremillion, who cared for Larry; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence W. and Leah Snyder; paternal grandparents, John and Clorine Snyder; maternal grandparents, Robert and Lovinia Williams; and a niece, baby Snyder.

Pallbearers will be Warren Synder, Alan Snyder, Lynn Snyder, Sam Snyder, Cody Snyder and Justin Snyder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Snyder and Glen Grimillion.
