Lisa, age 56, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by her loving family following complications related to muscular dystrophy.
Lisa was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana. The only daughter of Bonneal and Mildred Whipp, she was treasured by them and her four brothers. Lisa married Timothy Perrodin in 1989. She was a graduate of Opelousas Catholic School, and was a treasured friend to many. She enjoyed attending her rosary group and bible study and was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Another one of her enjoyments was going out to eat with her husband and spending time with her Yorkie, Chloe. She was a wonderful aunt and godmother to her nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; she made them feel special and loved.
Those who loved her most on this earth include her husband of 28 years, Timothy Perrodin; her mother, Mildred Whipp; her brother, Neal Whipp and his wife Kathy; her brother, Kent Whipp and his wife Bessie; her brother, Troy Whipp and his wife Lisa; her mother-in-law, Enola Perrodin; her goddaughter Sarah and husband Patrick Keating; her godson Jake Whipp; 10 nieces and nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Whipp; her father, Bonneal Whipp; her father-in-law, J.H. Perrodin, Jr.; her grandparents Isaac and Hazel Broussard, and Henry Lee and Anna Whipp.
Family and friends are invited to sign and view the online guestbook at www.lafondardoin.com.

I would like to send my condolences to the Perrodin Family upon reading about your recent loss! I hope that this message of comfort and hope helps your family take refuge in prayer at Psalms 57: 1, and know that your loved one is alive in gods memory. At Luke 20:37,38 may the God of comfort, comfort you at this time. God has made the loving provision for a resurrection, so that you can see, Mrs. Perrodin again and such hope Jesus told us about is found at John 5:28-29. Once again, I'm sorry for your loss!

It is so sad to have to say 'goodbye' to Ms. Lisa. She was a blessing to many. Yet, we are not left without hope, for Rev. 21:4 says “There will be no more death or pain.” We know this will happen because God gave Jesus the authority to heal the sick and power to raise the dead as revealed when Jesus resurrected Lazarus who had been dead for 4 days. So Jesus will remove the bars holding those in the grave, just as he commanded that the stone be removed from Lazarus tomb. Jesus will bring back to life those who sleep in death just as he did for his friend Lazarus (John 11:39-44). Now picture the happy reunion when friends and relatives embrace Ms. Lisa again! See jw.org. May your hearts find comfort in this wonderful hope found in the Bible, from your family, friends and in fond memories. My sincere condolences to you at this time.

Lisa was such a remarkable person. She could truly change a dark day into sunshine with her wit and kindness. She always put others before herself and never complained about the limitations MD put on her life. Her weak muscles couldn't stop her from being a strong and true friend to many. She simply was a delight to be around. My heart hurts for you, Tim, and all Lisa's family. I'll always love her.
