Krotz Springs -Funeral services for Jerry Don Hatton will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018, in the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. Bro. Chad Bolfa and Reverend Allen Johnson will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs with military honors.
Mr. Jerry, age 71, was a native of Sims, Arkansas, and a longtime resident of Melville. He passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was a pumper in the oilfield industry and worked for Valero for 30 years. He was a U. S. Army Veteran who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was also a past member of the V. F. W. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Krotz Springs where he received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in 1986. He cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet Baker Hatton of Melville; two daughters, Tonya Lee and husband, Brandon of Zachary; and Nancy Taylor and husband, Kyle of Arnaudville; grandchildren, Brandon C. Lee, Brandy R. Lee, and Caleb J. Landerno ; sister, Geneva Thomas of Roseburg, OR; and two brothers, John Hatton of Myrtle Creek, OR; and Jack Hatton and companion, Ellen of Sims, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie E. Hatton and Alma Beggs Hatton; three brothers, Darrel Hatton, Carl Ray Hatton, and Willie E. Hatton, Jr.; sister-in-law, Nancy Hatton; and brother-in-law, Clee Thomas.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, LA. On Monday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Lee, Kyle Taylor, Brandon C. Lee, Caleb Landerno, Robert Miller, Allen "Torkie" Lee, Treston Martinez, and Alec Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Disotell, John Hatton, Jack Hatton, and London King.
